Usuallywhenhesmelledthelandbreezehewokeupanddressedtogoandwaketheboy.ButtonightthesmellofthelandbreezecameveryearlyandheknewitwastooearlyinhisdreamandwentondreamingtoseethewhitepeaksoftheIslandsrisingfromtheseaandthenhedreamedofthedifferentharborsandroadsteadsoftheCanaryIslands.

Henolongerdreamedofstorms，norofwomen，norofgreatoccurrences，norofgreatfish，norfights，norcontestsofstrength，norofhiswife.Heonlydreamedofplacesnowandofthelionsonthebeach.Theyplayedlikeyoungcatsintheduskandhelovedthemashelovedtheboy.Heneverdreamedabouttheboy.Hesimplywoke，lookedouttheopendooratthemoonandunrolledhistrousersandputthemon.Heurinatedoutsidetheshackandthenwentuptheroadtowaketheboy.Hewasshiveringwiththemorningcold.Butheknewhewouldshiverhimselfwarmandthatsoonhewouldberowing.
